Junk (2009) Junk works as a stand alone album, but it is also a companion piece to Spam. Sometimes I refer to it as The Spam Remixes, but this is an understatement. I've basically taken everything I learned while creating Spam, and turned it up a notch. Every track on Junk is a reinterpretation of something from Spam, but one has to listen close in order to notice. Junk is perhaps the most industrial sounding Void Ant album to date. It is heavier, and noisier than Spam, and I've gone even deeper into beat programming. Miscellaneous notes: Working on Junk inspired me to explore
the world of remixing. It was at this point I started asking other
artists to remix my material. Since then I have also taken an
interest in remixing other artists' material. |
