Mobile Command Post
The Mobile Command Post (MCP) is a reconditioned and repainted 17 foot trailer which the club procured in 2002. It is equipped with the following:
VHF Radio (Kenwood 232) for 2 meters and a 1/4 wave antenna.
HF Transceiver, Kenwood 930 with automatic antenna tuner, and a Hustler all-band antenna.
A Citizens Band Radio and antenna.
A Marine Band Radio and antenna.
A 2 meter repeater (VE3LCA on 146.955 (-) with a link package connecting to VA3TEL 145.230 (-). The system consists of 4 Phoenix transceivers, Two Sinclair Rezlock cavity assemblies, and two antennas. See the system setup by clicking the Repeater Link on the left of this page.
A 6900 watt gasoline driven generator.
A 12 volt battery, charging system and distribution to several operating positions.
A PII computer.
Heat can be provided using ceramic and/or oil filled electric heaters.

The MCP is used in almost all of the Lanark/North Leeds public service and other events. It can be made available to other groups under some conditions.
