In an effort to promote organic agriculture, I was a regular contributor to the "Eastern Ontario AgriNews", an important agricultural monthly paper circulated to over 7000 farmers.

• I introduced the column in February 98 and provided a definition of organic agriculture.
• Then in March, prompted by questions, I described the concept of organic certification.
• My April column addressed the cycle of dependence on external inputs.
• Then in May, I addressed a frequent question: "Why is organic food so expensive?"
• I lightened up in June and summarized some tips for managing your garden organically.
• With the cereal harvest early in July, I decided to offer suggestions for fall cover crops.
