Road Trip
Love lies bleeding,
on the broken road.
A road in the middle
of no where.
A road without a name.
Now the road is getting hard
I'm scratched and bruised
and torn.
Yet i keep pushing forward
despite the comming storm.
Every day that we walk on,
you get farther away
and now im crawling
on the rocks
that you dont even see.
There is no hope
to give me wings
so i could fly above it all
and now you are so far ahead
you wouldn't hear my call.
The sky is dark and silent
through the hollow night.
When the dawn finally
breaks for you
I will not see its light.
I pray the storm
that encircles me
brings with it some rain
to mix with my falling tears
so you dont have to see.
I bear no resentment
for the feelings unreturned
I have walked alone
my whole life
It is no different now.
I knew when i met you
that you would never
feel for me.
So there is no dissappointment
and there is no blame.

and walk the storm
