When I have had a bad day

Even when it’s tough

Who surprises me,
Does things I don’t expect

Who takes the time
To share their life with me

Who will let me in
And tell me what they think

Who will be there
When I don’t want to be alone

Who leaves their door unlocked
And doesn’t mind if I stop in

Who tries to spend
A little time with me

And take everything I have

Though I have little need
