Again this week it seems that pink floating live bait rigs or floating jigs tipped with salted minnows or crawlers are working very well. Some of the "hot" Spots are Delaware, Huckleberry, Pop Bottle, Third Island & Ant Island. These spots are all the traditional spots that have worked over the years. It is also the time of the season that we start to see the larger Northerns begin to feed again. We had two over 35" caught and released the last couple of days. I am certain we will see a lot more and a lot bigger ones in the near future. Walleyes again this week are varying in size with quite a few small ones 8 - 12" and also several 25- 26" fish being released. It seems as if the cooler temperatures are causing the fish turn on again.
