A special "Thank You" to our Ninth week guests, for their continued support !
This week it seems that Perch colored crawler harnesses tipped with a white twister tail worked very well. One of our groups used this combo very successfully by trolling the rig slowly near the drop offs. I have also heard that salted minnows combined with jigs have been producing some great catches. Reports of numerous "small" Walleye have been pouring in. It seems as if we have a very large crop of 8-10" fish coming on for the future. It also seems as if the perch are making a comeback as several of our guests have reported catching a lot of small perch. In addition to the small Walleyes we have seen several very nice Walleyes being caught in the 20-27 inch range. Overall the week has been typical summertime fishing with catches depending on weather conditions. As you can see it has been successful so far. Ant Island, Airplane Island & Third Island are just a few of the spots that have produced fish this week.
