A special "Thank You" to our Eighth week guests, for their continued support !
At this time we are going through some summertime weather, HOT, CALM & SUNNY. Although this is great fisherman weather, it isn't always the best catching weather! The fish that are being caught, again are hitting on the floating live bait rigs, chartreuse or green colors are working. Back trolling slowly over the rocky drop offs are producing some Walleyes. Northern Pike action is filling in the "middle of the day" Walleye siestas. We are expecting a change in the weather tonight and tomorrow, so it should trigger the "EYES" into feeding again.
The Walleyes did start hitting better on Thursday, with Airplane Island and Huckleberry Island producing fish. Ant Island was also still producing, although somewhat slower due to wind (lack of). Friday we got some wind, Third Island turned on and produced some great catches of Walleyes. Overall the week produced a lot of variety when it came to Walleyes, I heard reports of 8" up to 25" fish being caught. Crawlers seem to be working better than minnows this week.
