This week has seen some great Walleye fishing. It seems like the lake veterans did very well using jigs and minnows. Floating jigs tipped with minnows also produced some great catches. The pike mostly have been showing up in the Walleye holes, numerous small Walleyes have been showing up with signs of being hit by large Pike. The normal fall areas are still producing fish.
Just a suggestion for fall fly-in trips. You should always make prior arrangments with family and work, just in case the weather turns and you get stuck in camp for an extra day or two. Also invest in a good rain suit, it will do wonders in fall weather !
