Fishing Tips !

For this week most people are using "floating live bait rigs" tipped with a minnow or crawler. Colors used are hot pink, chartreuse, with 1/2 to 3/4 oz bottom walker sinkers. These rigs are back trolled or drifted slowly over the 5 1/2 to 9 foot breaks. Walleyes are hitting light since the cold front earlier in the week. They are starting to pick up and get more aggressive the last couple of days. Floating jigs and regular lead heads (1/4 & 3/8 oz) are also working, but don't forget the crawlers or minnows, salted minnows are working just as well as live ones. Overall the fishing was a little more difficult this week, but there were some very nice Walleyes and Northerns caught through the week. We had a 26" Walleye, 40" Northern, 44" Northern and several 20"+ Walleyes that were caught this week. As you can see, Moses provided the entertainment again this week.
