"Want to hear the best
'blues', (or any kind of music for that matter), guitarists
in this country? Harry Manx, who's one of the best acoustic
guitar players, and Calgary's Johnny V, who, when you hear
him, will rank equally with Hendrix and Clapton as a
musician, songwriter, and performer."....

I finally got to listen
to the "Mustard and Relics" and "Agnostically Eclectic"
albums last night, and they are great. Your newest album is
only a hairswidth from being lethal...it is great!!! I've
always loved the way you get that magic mixture of pure fire
and great melody into your music...Johnny, you are the best!
I'm betting that your early days of ruff-n-tuff street
fighting has served to put more character, more kick, and
more feel into your music and I'm damn sure you didn't get
that groove from messing with skipping ropes and lollipops.
I treasure the four albums of your music that I have. They
are truly "the gift of music". I thank you for those albums
Johnny. They will be played and enjoyed for years to
come.....
