SCUFFLERS |

| Obtained locally, our No. 16 scuffler still requires some restoration. According to the Cockshutt Farm Implements Catalogue No. 391, "This model is light but very strong, being of steel construction with either steel or wood handles. It is controlled by two convenient levers, one regulating the width and the other controlling the front gauge wheel and the depth regulator. The frame can very quickly be widened or drawn in to suit the width of the rows." | |

| Picked up during an "old rust run" to the Niagara area in 1997, the Model 30 is currently in use near the shed as a lawn ornament. It is a 7 blade scuffler equipped with all steel handles and a star wheel. |

A feature of the 5 blade Model 31 is a second lever which is attached
to the front wheel and allows for quick adjustment of depth while still
working ground.
This particular scuffler has wooden grips on the steel handles and a solid wheel. It was purchased at an auction sale in Barrie, Ontario. |
