During World War II,  the Cockshutt Company and others turned to the production of war related products leaving little in the way of new farm machinery on the market.  Farmers were encouraged to invest their money in support of the country's war effort in a manner which would ensure that funds would be available for purchasing machinery when it became available in the future.

THE CHOSEN FEW

Tractor collectors are devoted time keepers of agriculture equipment.  Preservers of tractors that without them, would be destined for the scrap heap.  Only their keen eyes can see the beauty that most have overlooked, and only they have acted on their emotions to restore old tractors.  They go without meals, lose plenty of sleep and spend endless hours searching, scraping, and scouring.  They work in the dirt, the grease, and their problems are sometimes almost impossible to solve, but somehow they find a way, and through their devotion, their hard work, their sheer determination, we now have a whole archive of farm tractors for future generations to enjoy. So, visit a farm show and experience the excitement with THE CHOSEN FEW.
