John Flemings 35 Deluxe nestled in a PEI field of clover
John acquired this tractor from the second owner in June of 2003.  "I finally finished restoring the tractor in December of 2006.
The restoration process provided many challenges along the way."

"Some of the challenges included getting the governor to operate properly with worn parts. Also the nut that holds the pitman arm was left loose for many years and was worn badly. I had a machine shop mil 1/4 inch off the top and then was able to slide the pitman arm up farther onto the steering shaft. This tightened the steering to almost new specifications. There were broken rings in the engine and the head needed a complete rebuild. Of course all seals were replaced and things like carburetor, generator and brakes were rebuilt."
On the way to the sandblaster.
"This is my 35 stripped down and on it's way to Island Sandblasting. (About 5 miles from my house.) They did the blasting
and all the painting on the tractor. I supplied them with
Keith's (McClure) decals and they installed them before clear coating."

"There are only two pedals on the tractor. One on the left and one on the right. Due to my disability, I can only use the left pedal. Both clutch and brake operate with the push of one pedal. The clutch clears as the brake engages. This works much the same as some lawnmowers.  There are a few 35's on PEI. One that is only 10 minutes away from me has the next serial number - 10216."
