A NOTE FROM PASTOR HEAD

As was announced a couple weeks ago, (August 4) our Ministry here at ICC is winding
down. Let there be no secret that Lori-Lynn, Taylor, Moriah and myself have thoroughly enjoyed our time with you and will miss each and every one of you.
We are presently pursuing a "temporary ministry opportunity" at New Life Assembly in Gravenhurst, until God opens up a door for a permanent position for us elsewhere. This can and will be considered as a "Missions" extension of ICC.
On September 1st, during the morning service, we will be concluding our Ministry here at ICC. We pray God's blessing and direction upon the families and Leadership of ICC as you continue to serve and honour God in this community.

MISSIONARIES FEATURED

Rev. June and John White have returned from the mission field and have moved into our area. They have been missionaries with passion for a number of years with the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada. Recently (on August 4th) the Whites shared their ministry with us in the morning service. It was refreshing to see and hear reports of how they personally delivered shipments of used clothes from the Innisfil Drop Box here at the church. They shared the need to partner with the feeding, educational and care program of "Child Plus" and some did decide to participate. Thank you John and June for your valued ministry in this assembly!

P.A.R.K. UPDATE

(Positively Affecting & Reaching Kids)

Our summer student program is just wrapping up. There were three "P.A.R.K." programs conducted similar to "Bible Camp". The team set up in local parks following a major blitz of the neighbourhood. They first distributed flyers to announce their presence in the park. Several wonderful contacts for church and Sunday School were made, and they had over about 50 kids in attendance each week in the park! They also did door to door ministry and contacted over 2,500 homes during the summer program and 130 kids with 30 of their parents attended the PARK program. Good work "Super Squad"! A SUCCESSFUL SUMMER INDEED. Anyone wanting to give a special contribution towards these kids going back to college and university may do so by contacting us at 436-1611. These kids spent their summer working for minimum wage to help spread the gospel. Their school fees will far exceed anything they made in this outreach program. The team included Bonnie Pereira, Caleb Courtney, Ryan Duff, Lori Emberley, and Kari Emberley.

PRAYER REQUESTS:

Harold and Evelyn Hogeboom continue to need our prayers. Their health seems more and more fragile. Both have moved into Creedan Valley Nursing Home, a facility located on 143 Mary Street in Creemore, (L0M 1G0) near Stayner, Ontario, This is a Leisureworld Caregiving Centre. They will soon have a private local phone number for friends to call.

Karen Boylan continues to go through more and more tests. In recent days, there seems to be some improvement. Karen has made a very definitive choice to trust in God at this time and not in the physicians alone.

Steve Aust has been facing some significant stresses in his life. He has recently found employment but continues to need our prayers.

Peter Deschamps continues to face physical and medical problems. He would be pleased to have you praying for him.

Don Duclos is facing the associated problems with a herniated disc. Please continue to pray for him.

Heidi and Cory Koystra recently received twin infants with the understanding that they would have full legal adoption of them. After several weeks of caring for them, and setting up house and life with them, the twins were recalled by the parents. Please pray for these children and for the pain of Heidi and Cory in this unexpected turn of events.

SPECIAL RECOGNITION

FOR A JOB WELL DONE!

This summer our huge lawns were maintained by Bruce and Susan Moore and family. I am sure you noticed how lovely they have been. We want to express our appreciation to them for their volunteer time in doing this for us and for the Lord. May God bless them for this contribution to Innisfil Community Church.

V.B.S. 2002! A GREAT SUCCESS!

This year's "Bug Safari" Vacation Bible School program embraced over 500 again! Some 45 workers were involved and over 479 kids actually were registered in this preliminary count. Pastor Craig and the leaders were able to maintain an excellent focus during the two weeks and the Gospel was delivered well to each of the kids. Thanks to all those who contributed time, money and energy to make this year's program a success.

OUR SYMPATHY

We extend our sympathy to Carol Watson in the recent death of her sister-in-law Marilyn Newbury who passed away in the Renfrew Hospital.

Blair Swenor suffered the loss of his grandfather. We express our sympathy to him and Sharon at this time.

ATTITUDE...

...A submission for our newsletter...

The man whispered: "God, speak to me" and a meadowlark sang. But the man did not hear. So the man yelled "God, Speak to me" and the thunder rolled across the sky. But the man did not listen. The man looked around and said, "God, let me see you" and a star shone bright, but the man didn't notice. And the man shouted, "God, show me a miracle" and a little life was born. But the man did not know. So the man cried out in despair. "Touch me God, and let me know you are there". Whereupon, God reached down and touched the man. But the man brushed the butterfly away and walked on...

Don't miss out on a blessing because it isn't packaged the way you would expect....

MISSIONS PRAISE REPORT

On Sunday, August 4th a special "Priority 1" offering was received for World Missions. We are pleased to report that a total of $ 1, 428.59 was received! Praise God! Missions must be our focus at home and around the world.
