TEHILLAH NORTH CONCLUDES!
After over a year and a half of Monday night services, the Tehillah North young adult, high energy worship services have concluded. The ongoing prayer backing was difficult to maintain. Many of the participants came from Keswick and the local support and cooperation from area churches was not present as we had hoped.
SOUL WINNERS ARE DOING GREAT!!
(SOUL WINNERS is the name of our youth group!)
In the past months we have been seeing God do some awesome things at our youth church!
Our Friday night ministry has grown to nearly 60 youth. That's a lot of teenagers crammed into the youth room!!
We have seen a number of teens saved and filled with the Holy Spirit, and a lot of great new relationships are developing between our youth and lost kids from the community.
We resolved this fall to take some time and stay at the church more to grow and build our ministry. Much of the Friday night ministry has been released to the youth, and the subsequent growth and enthusiasm has been tremendous.
We are grooming new worship leaders, new preachers and new altar ministers.
We have launched a new "Coffee House" on Fridays after the service, where we sell a "treat of the week", like Nachos or pizza. It gives the teens a chance to fellowship and build relationships…and eat yummy food.
We launched the START (Students Teaching And Receiving Truth) cell program in September, which is meeting with great success, with nearly 20 youth a week in small group Bible studies. The Galashans are hosting one in Barrie, and the Langevelds are hosting in Stroud. If your teen is not in a cell, take them on Thursday night to the one nearest you!!
There are a number of adults who are pouring into our teens here, Bob and Jolanda Galashan, Annette and Anthony Langeveld, Marlene Myers, Rene Auger, and Trish Fulton.
My job would be impossible and VERY SCARY without them "holding my arms up". They minister with such a heart for the youth and a faithfulness and respect for my leadership. I want to thank them and honour them for both their hard work and faithfulness.
With so many teens and so much potential ministry, we always want more caring parents or grandparents involved!! Talk to me anytime if you are interested in hosting a cell group or becoming a leader with the Soul Winners Youth Church.
With all this great stuff happening, and our group growing, we have one project we are working on that we could use you help with…
The youth culture today is very visual and technologically advanced. We want to assemble a multimedia projection system for the youth church, with a computer, DVD player, and projector. We have a projector and some computer hardware, but we still need some more stuff. A P3 computer, a DVD Rom, a multimedia cart are some of the things we need. If you can help us either by donating these items or donating cash to purchase them, you would be blessing a thriving and growing ministry and helping us enhance our professionalism and our impact!!
God Blast!!
Pastor Dwane.
PRAYER REQUESTS AND UPDATES:
Request for Ron Garrison, Missions Partners International. Ron Garrison had been admitted into the Critical Care Unit of a London Hospital with complete liver failure. However, very shortly thereafter he experienced an amazing and remarkable recovery to the surprise of the medical staff. They are doing further tests to see if there were any complications following. He was released from the hospital after a very short stay. We have reason to praise God for His touch on Rev. Garrison.
Karen Boylan continues to go through her health struggle. She had major surgery to correct a kink in the bowel, but has since developed a blood clot. They were about to do surgery to remove her gall bladder but were unable to do so after discovering a blood clot. The gall bladder surgery was postponed. Please continue to pray for Karen and her family during these very trying times. The church recently spent a week in prayer and fasting on her behalf.
Don Duclos has had surgery for a herniated disc and is at home recovering. There has already been significant improvement from the pain that he had been experiencing.. Continue to pray for him.
Carol Watson has just suffered the sudden loss of a niece who fell to her death in Calgary. Please pray for the Belliveaus family at this time of loss.
ENGAGEMENT ANNOUNCEMENT UPDATE!
Ryan Galashan has set the date for his wedding for December 28, 2002! He will be marrying Teresa Rooney. They have rented an apartment on Bayfield Street in Barrie where Ryan will be living and setting up home in preparation for their marriage. Teresa will be remaining in the U.S.A. until they are married.

DEDICATION OF A NEW BABY!
It was our privilege to witness the dedication of Lucy Rose Galashan on Sunday, October 13 at Innisfil Church. The baby's uncle, Ryan Galashan, a minister in training, performed the dedication!
SPECIAL CALL TO PRAYER!
At a recent meeting of the church board, the board unanimously agreed to host a four week prayer emphasis each Wednesday night from 7 p.m. til 8:30 p.m. Pastor Courtney has followed through with this plan and there has been a renewed sense of urgency in prayer as well as a growing level of passion amongst those attending. We invite others to join in over the next weeks!
