AREA YOUTH ATTEND CONVENTION

Recently, there were 30 from Innisfil who attended a district wide youth convention held in Waterloo, Ontario. Thanks to the generosity of some kind people several of these were subsidized or sponsored. It is exciting to see new converts, and pre-Christians enabled financially to join in these dynamic events where over 1,000 kids mix together and seek God! Go for it, Pastor Dwane!

CONGRATULATIONS TO

RYAN GALASHAN!

One of our own youth, Ryan Galashan, has been in attendance at the School of Urban Missions in New Orleans, U.S.A.

Late in May Ryan graduated and will be returning home shortly awaiting opportunity for ministry.

Bob and Jolanda, Ryan's parents, were delighted to attend his graduation.

Please pray for God to open the right door for Ryan, and be sure to congratulate him on his successful graduation

PASTOR ATTENDS

CONFERENCE IN VICTORIA

Pastor Howard and Beulah Courtney recently participated in the bi-annual conference for the P.A.O.C. held in Victoria, British Columbia.

Their first task upon arriving in Victoria was to visit former Innisfil Church member, Arva Grant who has retired and living there. It was a great time of re-union together.

Arva extends her love to all of her Innisfil friends.

The conference was a wonderful success and carried a keen awareness of the presence of the Holy Spirit.

Included in the reports was the fact that last year collectively our missions giving exceeded

14 million dollars! This enabled us to place 24 new missionaries in nine different countries as well as maintain those previously sent.

Of the over 250,000 immigrants to Canada each year, 95 % do not know Jesus as their Saviour. And, in Quebec only one half of one percent of the seven million people are born again!!! We have a mission field on our door step.

Exciting things are developing though in the cultural ministries in the metropolitan areas. We have developed and embraced a huge number of ethnic and cultural ministries who are reaching Canadians of other cultural backgrounds.

In the last 5 years we have planted or grown by 85 new churches across Canada.

Over 16,000 conversions have been reported and almost 9,000 have been baptised in water. Another 5,000 have reported being filled with the Holy Spirit in 2000.

We rejoice in what has begun and what is about to increase in intensity over the next few years. The harvest is ripe. We MUST become His labourers to bring in the harvest before us.

WOMEN'S MINISTRIES

VISIT ST. JACOBS

Almost forty women from Innisfil Church took the excursion to see the sites and markets around St. Jacob's. Joining together for dinner and fellowship, those participating had a great time of fun, laughter, and leisure. A special thanks to Pastor Lori-Lynn Head for planning and organizing this event.

MEN'S MINISTRIES

GOLF TOURNAMENT

On Saturday, May 18, a number of the men from Innisfil Church joined together to share a day of joy and fellowship out on the greens.

Thanks to Tony Boone and those who assist him in his leadership of this men's group which meets monthly for a variety of activities.

PRAYER AND FASTING EVENT

A time of fasting and prayer was called for by Pastor Courtney recently. From Friday, May 17 at 6 p.m. until Saturday, May 18 at 6 p.m., this 24 hours of prayer and fasting resulted in over 150 hours of prayer! Approximately 30 people participated at one level or another. PRAYER REQUESTS

We ask you to continue to pray for the following persons:

Marg Shipley - cancer

Evelyn Hogeboom has recently been diagnosed with a cancerous growth after having been cancer free for about 5 years following an earlier surgery.

Mr. Keith Marsh from Innisfil recently suffered an aneurism and is in R.V.H. Please pray for him and his wife Georgina.

MOTHER'S DAY MUSIC AND DRAMA!

A special thanks to Betty-Anne Taylor and the Joyful Noize Singers who made a wonderful "Mother's Day" musical memory and drama presentation. A wonderful addition to the service!

CONGRATULATIONS TO GLEN AND GWEN GROVES!

We celebrate with Glen and Gwen Groves on their 50th Wedding Anniversary. A come and go tea was held at the church on Saturday, May 25th. We are so very thankful for the many ways that the Groves have blessed this church over the years. Glen served as treasurer, board member, and adult Bible Class teacher for years! And Gwen was also a Sunday School teacher, Women's Ministries president, and active volunteer for many years. The church is here because of faithful, steady people like the Groves who have invested much over the years!

MOTHER'S DAY MISSIONARY GUESTS

On Sunday, May 12, we were blessed to have a missionary family with us from the Balkans. Slobodan and Ljiliana Krstevski have served as missionaries with the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada for several years. They assist in teaching, humanitarian assistance, delivery of our ERDO used clothing, and preaching. It was both a challenging and encouraging time of ministry for us.

CANADIAN BLOOD SERVICES

BLOOD DONOR CLINIC

AT INNISFIL CHURCH

Blood Donor Clinic was held at the church on Thursday, May 23. Forty units of blood were collected. This is a long way from what we used to collect. There is an on-going need for blood donors. If you can give, please do so at the next Innisfil Community Church Clinic. We can do better!! Special thanks to Deana Murphy for her assistance at the refreshment table!

NEWFOUNDLAND VISITORS ARRIVE!

Tony and Marion Boone have recently enjoyed a visit from Dave and Lorraine Tetford from Newfoundland. (Dave is Marion's brother!) Welcome Dave and Lorraine!

B.G. SLEEP-OVER

CONCLUDES THE YEAR

The year-end sleep-over for this season under the good leadership of Sharon Yeadon was held on May 3rd and May 4th.

This kids outreach program serves the needs of many kids and is an arm of evangelism that reaches many unchurched kids every year. Thanks to all the workers who have served for this year's B.G. program.

LOCAL I.C.C. FOOD BANK BOOST!

It was an exciting call when the local fitness center, "Curves For Women" called to advise that they were donating the food collected at their center to the Innisfil Church Food Bank.

In all, over 1300 pounds of food were donated!

A special thanks to "Curves For Women", Stroud!

NEW "TOLL FREE" NUMBER

FOR THE CHURCH

It has been a concern of the pastor for some time now that those of the church family outside of the local phone area didn't have the same access to the church as others who live closer.

A toll free number is now in place for those who must call long distance to reach the church. This includes those in the Angus area, and those south of us bordering in the Bradford area.

The toll free number is 866-436-1632.
