On Sunday, June 2, Rev. Keith Parks, President of "Seeds International" was the featured ministry at Innisfil Community Church. Rev. Parks shared the humanitarian mission of providing for thousands of needy children overseas in various locations including Zambia, Sierra Leone, Zimbabwe, Guinea and Honduras. Children are given a "seedbag" which includes food, a fourteen week evangelism and discipleship study, hygienic supplies, writing tools and toys. An offering of almost $1,500.00 toward this project was received. More information about "Project Seedbag" can be found at "www.seeds.org" Please continue to pray and support these worthy missions endeavors.

SPECIAL FATHER'S DAY - CHILD DEDICATION SERVICE!

It was another one of those special moments in the life of the church as baby Christian Xavier Cooze was brought to the altar to be dedicated to the Lord by his parents.

On Sunday, June 16th, Morley and Jennifer Cooze of Bradford openly confessed their desire to bring up Christian in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. Their desire to serve God was evident and we wish them God's blessings as they parent their children. What a special day to have dedicated their new son!

SUMMER VACATION TIME?

Don't forget. Your church still carries on the church programs through the summer.

Your continued support is essential to keep us from falling behind.

Why not consider volunteering to work in one of the children's or youth programs in the fall? Call us and let us put you in a good spot of ministry.

SPECIAL ORDINATION SERVICE FOR

"REV." DWANE PARSONS

On Saturday, June 8 at 2 p.m. an ordination service was held at Hi-Way Church in Barrie. This Western Ontario District of The Pentecostal Assemblies Of Canada event saw the ordination of more than a couple dozen candidates. Each ordinand is required to meet several criteria prior to ordination. For most, this means the completion of the academic requirement at a Bible College or seminary, plus a MINIMUM of two full years of proven ministry.

Our own youth Pastor, Dwane Parsons, was among those ordained.

Also ordained was Michelle (Branan) Mercer, one of our former youth, who is currently serving as Children's Pastor at Hi-Way Church.

Later the same day, Pastor Howard and Beulah Courtney attended a second ordination service where Beulah's son, Jason Luscombe, was also ordained in Cobourg with the Eastern Ontario District of The Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada.

CONGRATULATIONS TO REV. DWANE PARSONS, REV. MICHELLE MERCER, AND REV. JASON LUSCOMBE !!!!

Welcome to the battle ground of direct ministry!

FATHER'S DAY MUSIC AND DRAMA!

A special thanks to Betty-Anne Taylor and the Joyful Noize Singers who made a wonderful "Father's Day" musical memory and drama presentation. Another wonderful addition to the service!

YOUTH PASTOR ATTENDS

CONFERENCE IN CALGARY

Pastor Dwane Parsons, along with Ryan Muller, recently flew out west to Calgary to attend the "Fire In The Rockies" Conference. This annual conference brings together leadership from across Canada who lead young adults groups in worship and service. As Tehillah worship leaders, considerable proportions of their expenses for the trip were paid for by the Tehillah network.

Both came back with a fresh zeal and a renewed focus on their ministry giftings.

OUR SYMPATHY

Marj Shipley who we had been praying for due to cancer, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 30, 2002. We extend our support and sympathy to Elroy and the family at this time. The final departure service was held at the church on June 2.

Mr. Keith Marsh from Innisfil recently died at R.V.H. following an aneurism. The funeral service, conducted by Pastor Craig Head, was held at the Innisfil Funeral Home. Keith had attended our free Christmas dinner last year and had since begun reading his Bible considerably. Please pray for his wife Georgina at this time.

PURPOSE FOR LIVING

by Wilf Sharpe

I live always for one purpose

To love the one above

That I may love as He does

Drink always of His love.

Our life is short on earth here

But this is where we grow

So work your best for Jesus

Help others live to know.

PRAYER REQUESTS

We ask you to continue to pray for the following persons:

Evelyn and Harold Hogeboom continue to need our prayers as they face the battle for health.

Karen Boylan has had surgery and was recovering well but has since faced more pain and discomfort. The doctors are still trying to search out the cause. Please pray for their family in this added time of stress and difficulty.

Don Duclos has been immobilized with a herniated disc. He was hospitalized due to pain and has since been released awaiting the securing of a surgeon. Please pray that they will be able to find the medical help he needs at this time.

Donna Landry has requested prayer for David Walford for healing. Please pray for him.

Rene Auger has asked for prayer for his fiancé in Saudi Arabia. Her friend was just killed in a car bombing there.

Neil Neva asked for prayer. He is having x-rays and repeatedly has a hoarse throat.

Alice Goodridge of Fredericton, Alma Sharpe's sister, is undergoing surgery. Alma has asked us to pray for her.

PLUS 55 BOAT CRUISE

It was a great adventure as the seniors boarded the boat for this past month's (June 25) boat cruise. Under the leadership of The Westons, this seniors group never stagnates! There are activities continuously, and we commend the seniors on their support and encouragement of each other. Keep it up!

CONGRATULATIONS SUMMERFEST WINNERS!

Every year at the Innisfil Summerfest celebrations there are competitions in music. This year we were excited to learn that five of the winners in four categories were from our church family! We congratulate Suzanne Wilson, Brittany Fulton, Stephanie McGhee, and Renee Boone. (Stephanie and Renee did a duet.) Way to go TEAM! Let's continue to saturate and infiltrate the community with a strong Christian influence and presence!

SUPER SQUAD REPORT / UPDATE

They have been out and about! Our five summer students have been going door to door sharing the Good News! So far they have visited over 1,000 homes. Personal contact has been made with over 400 of these. The vast majority of responses has been very positive. From their experience so far it would appear that visiting is just as effective in the morning as in the afternoon. The Super Squad has also coordinated a "Hospitality Sunday" where families were encouraged to have guests over for dinner, or to be a guest with someone else. The matches were done by the team and it was a surprise for all who found out at last minute where they were going for dinner. We have done this before as a "Guess Who's Coming To Dinner" event. Those participating came back with good reports of new friends and strengthened relationships.

As we speak the Super Sqaud are preparing for mini V.B.S. programs in three local parks.
