CANADA DAY SERVICE - JUNE 30TH

It was another open air service conducted at the Alcona Plaza celebrating Canada Day, on Sunday, June 30. Several took part in this great service and musicals included solos by Pastor Lori-Lynn Head, Ryan Muller, and Alana Deschamps. Liliana Lupo shared a dynamic testimony of God's goodness in giving us the freedom we experience in Canada as did Rene Auger. The youth performed a couple dramas / vignettes and Pastor Courtney preached a sermon on the kind of God we serve.

P.A.R.K.

(Positively Affecting & Reaching Kids)

Our summer student program has completed their first of three "P.A.R.K." programs. Conducted similar to "Bible Camp", the team sets up for a week in the local park and do the entire program there. In advance, they did a major blitz of the neighbourhood, distributing flyers to announce their presence in the park. The first week concluded with several wonderful contacts for church and Sunday School, and they had over 55 kids in attendance in the park! Good work "Super Squad"!

PRAISE REPORT -

Pastor & Beulah Courtney

Several weeks ago Beulah's car was broken into during the early morning hours while parked in our driveway. As a result we discovered her NEW cell phone was missing, which she had just purchased 5 days prior. Also missing, was Pastor Courtney's 2-way radio. We immediately discontinued the phone service and filed a report with the Police Department. During our staff prayer time at the church we shared that, even though these items were stolen, we still had so much to thank God for. That evening we received a call from the Police asking us to identify the 2-way radio, only to find out that a neighbor a few doors down from us had discovered it on their lawn the next morning. We went to the Police Department and retrieved the radio, which was in perfect condition. The next morning we took a walk along our street in hopes of finding the cell phone. We did find the broken faceplate and back part of the phone, which appeared to have been cast aside and possibly run over by a car. Another neighbor saw us searching the area and after we explained the reason why, he told us he had retrieved some phone parts and put them in his garbage. On checking the garbage we found the main base of the phone which had been unharmed. We did not, however, locate the battery at that time. At the end of the day we took the phone parts to the servicing company. Upon testing, amazingly the internal electronics of the phone were still functional but with the broken parts, the phone was useless. First indications were that they could not do anything for us, and since having just upgraded we could not upgrade again. In turn they could not provide another battery or parts without charging us full cost. However, God showed us His favor and we left the store with all new parts and working phone and no cost for re-activation or upgrade! And, oh yes...we took another walk along the street that evening and.....there was the battery sitting in the middle of the road - like new! Like David, (I Sam. 30:18-19), we recovered it all!! Praise God!

BOARD UPDATE:

The board will be functioning with five members instead of six until January with the withdrawal of Mike Sugden from the board. We are thankful for the ministry of Mike and Jayne over the years and trust that God will continue to use them in other area ministries.

SPECIAL NEWS UPDATE:

The call to missions has never been more urgent. It is estimated that over 80,000 people die every day having never heard about Jesus. PRAY. GIVE. GO.

PRAYER REQUESTS:

Harold and Evelyn Hogeboom continue to need our prayers. Their health seems more and more fragile.

Karen Boylan continues to go through more and more tests. She is not able to eat much and keeps very little down when she does. Please pray for her at this time. Many times the pain is severe.

Steve and LeeAnne Aust should be included on our prayer list. Steve is currently un-employed and searching for God's open door for employment. Remember them in your prayers.

Darin Jackson and Donato Lupo both have been affected by the Toronto strike and have been feeling the crunch. Remember them. The strike has just ended.

Peter Deschamps is facing physical and medical problems. He would be pleased to have you praying for him.

Don Duclos is facing the associated problems with a herniated disc. Please pray for him.

FUNERAL

Gerry French recently officiated at the funeral of Donald Gilchrist, brother-in-law to Margaret French. Donald died following a hard struggle with cancer. The funeral home was packed and Brother French gave an outstanding funeral message. Our sympathy is extended to the family at this time.

WELCOME TO OUR CHURCH FAMILY:

John & Daniella Chiavaroli, Andrew & Leanne have recently joined our church family and are enjoying worship at Innisfil Church. They came to know the Lord through Rev. John Hagee in his T.V. ministry.

Morley & Jennifer Cooze - Hunter & Christian live in Bradford but have chosen Innisfil to be "home Church" for themselves.

We were delighted to have recently dedicated their most recent born child.

Rene Auger has been assisting Pastor Dwane in the youth program for several months now, and also is involved in the Monday Night Tehillah service. We welcome him to our church family. Rene is especially thankful to God for bringing his future wife home safely from Saudi Arabia. She was there on a teaching assignment and ministry.

Regan Baird, and son Mark have discovered a home church at Innisfil Church. Regan is a good friend of Wendy Ladd who came to know the Lord here during an Alpha course with us.

Fernando & Demaris Lusvarghi and 2 sons recently moved to Innisfil. The two sons are currently on vacation in Brazil with their grandparents. Fernando and his wife Demaris come to us from Toronto where they formerly attended People's Church.

TIM DANIEL FEATURED

The special guest at Innisfil Church on Sunday, July 7, was Tim Daniel. Tim has been a recording artist, T.V personality and musician for years. As he preached and sang there was a clear sense to many that church was intended to be more than a Sunday, one day of the week event. It was meant to be lived out daily in the world. Tim's ministry has been in the area of holiness and righteous living for many years now. We were blessed by his ministry.

CHURCH JANITORIAL SERVICES

We have been very blessed over the years to have been served by fellow saints in caring for the janitorial services at the church. Though their contract is limited, Byron and Marian Sweetland, along with Harry Jonkman (her father), have gone well beyond the paid services required. They have looked on this as a ministry unto the Lord and continue to serve us well. In a church so well used, most people never realize the wonderful work they do for us. Thank you Byron, Marian, and "Dad".
