TEHILLAH -

YOUNG ADULT

PRAISE AND WORSHIP !

TEHILLAH NORTH
There is growing excitement as we are preparing to launch "Tehillah North". This high energy, young adult worship experience comes with loud music and varied lighting effects but it is indeed more than just emotion!

The intensity of worship stands out as a clear indication of a commitment to whole hearted worship. While others have their reservations, this group has taken off their restraints and chosen to serve the Lord with ALL their strength, all their heart, all their mind, and all their soul! We look forward to the launch date- April 2 with the "Freedom Machine" from Life 100.3 being present!

KIDS' PRAISE RALLY

On Friday evening, March 16, a number of Innisfil kids gathered together at Hi-Way Church in Barrie to join with several other area church children's ministries. It was a special rally organized by the District for Pentecostal Churches. Rev. Craig Head gave leadership locally and a great time was experienced by all the kids. The core belief with rising visibility is simply this: Kids don't just know how to worship, but they know how to be leaders among their peers!

GREAT WATER

BAPTISMAL SERVICE!

It was indeed an exciting day for all of us as we witnessed the baptism of Marje Shipley, Leanne Yeadon, and Stephen Ingram on Sunday evening, February 25. God has called all of us to be baptised in water. We rejoice with these who have taken this step of obedience to the Word of God.(Have you been baptised in water yet?)

LIFE SUPPORT VAN

TRANSPORTED TO

TROUT LAKE !

The Sad Story: A few weeks ago the church "Life Support" van returned to the church and its driver reported a brake leak. We immediately scheduled the van for repairs but prior to the work being done, the Ministry Of Transportation dropped by for an unscheduled, but routine inspection. Not realizing that we had scheduled repairs and were aware of the problem, the M.T.C. rightfully removed the plates and condemned the vehicle. Having done so, our mechanic was under scrutiny to make sure every detail was cared for in order to re-certify the vehicle. He believed that costly body work would also be required to certify it.

The Happy Side: We decided not to invest the required dollars to repair, at the recommendation of our mechanic. And then, we received a fax indicating that a native reserve in the north was desperately in need of a van. We offered it to them free. Another church arranged to have a separate mechanical fitness done at their expense, as a donation to the native reserve. Another company in North Bay offered to letter the vehicle free for them. And Pastor Head along with Anthony Langeveld (one of our board members) drove the van as far as Parry Sound.

Several others were tag-teaming to get the van to Trout Lake. A deadline for getting it there was critical since the only way in to the reserve was by driving over the frozen water to the island location.

What was a disappointment for us, has turned into a wonderful answer to prayer for them.

Isn't it amazing how God orchestrates things?!

Now here's the next question: How will God supply us with a replacement? We need about $8,000.00 to replace it!

NEW SATURDAY NIGHT "MASS" - AN UPDATE

We have just concluded our first month of services with the formal "liturgical" style services. Communion is served individually to those who wish to partake of Holy Communion. Rev. James Pedwell is taking the lead role in these services and Rev. Courtney assists. Although it is not customary to include candles and a kneeling bench in regular services at Innisfil Church, both are used in this Saturday night mass. And, most have never seen Pastor Courtney in his clergy collar and black robe. Although attendance has been very small, they are not discouraged and the mass will continue.

Your prayers that God will use this service to touch people who prefer this format of worship would be appreciated.

OUR SYMPATHY

We express our sympathy to Betty Anne Taylor (our church pianist) who faced the death of her mother, Matilda Jane Graham. Mrs. Graham died on March 13. Her funeral was held in Flesherton on St. Patrick's Day, Saturday, March 17.

Betty Anne's son, Rev. Terry Lee officiated at the funeral and did a wonderful job in sharing the celebration of his grandmother's life.

A special thanks to all those who from Innisfil Church attended the funeral.

MISSION PARTNERS INTERNATIONA

WITH RON GARRISON!

On Sunday, March 18, Rev. Ron Garrison was the featured guest speaker. Mr. Garrison shared the inside story of his first hand encounters on this significant missions field. God is indeed doing extra-ordinary things through this ministry.

Hundreds of children are being provided for through the orphanages that he is involved in. The Gospel message is being powerfully delivered and workers are being trained. We have joined heart and hands with this ministry and a love offering of over $2,000.00 was received to support these ministries in the Commonwealth Of Independent States.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL -2001 - UPDATE

The first registration for this summer's Vacation Bible School has already come in!

Plans are well formulated and underway for the "Polar" experience!

Numerous committee members have been working hard to put together the program for this summer, and they seem very confident that enrollment will exceed last year's. That translates into over 400 kids!

Register your child early to be sure of a spot! Call 436-1611.

COMMUNITY NETWORKING WITH

THE INNISFIL CHURCHES

We have been delighted to have had a number of the local ministers share on the Wednesday nights at Innisfil Community Church.

Among them have been Rev. Carol White, Rev. Shelley Roberts, Rev. Stephan Kirkegaard, and Pastor Rick Reimer. These ministers represent The United Church, The Anglican Church and The Missionary Alliance Church. We are thrilled that other local clergy have a desire to work together, pray together, and share together in the overall work of the Kingdom of God in Innisfil.

As a ministerial, the local ministers meet together monthly for fellowship and sharing.

It is amazing to see the strength and encouragement that can come as we work together.
