Hillside In The 60's And 70's
A lot of changes have taken place since 1963. If you want to see what
Hillside was like back then, sit back, put your feet up and we will
show you some of our shots during the 'building' years of Hillside's
history.
We only had 7 hydro sites and 25 non-hydro sites when our family purchased this campground.
What we were lacking were the basic essentials. Everyone wanted a picnic table back then....So
we spent a couple of weeks building......you guessed it.....picnic tables. Anyone that could hold a
hammer in our family was expected to 'pitch in'. Even my sisters' boyfriends got involved.
